We are now looking for a work instructor for Lundaverkstaden.

Lundaverkstaden is one of our initiatives at the Labor Market Administration that works with people who are outside the labor market to strengthen their path towards work and studies. Additionally, Lundaverkstaden, together with the remaining unit, has a city-wide mission to reuse and repair furniture and equipment to reduce the city's climate footprint. We are now looking for someone who wants to strengthen our operations by working with customers alongside participants, as well as in our workshop environment with colleagues and participants.

Your role

As a work instructor, you will work independently by planning and executing your assignments together with participants. The work includes everything from painting jobs at various operations of Stockholm City to renovating and building furniture. The job involves some physically demanding tasks.

The work is performed together with participants with different support needs, which means you need to be pedagogical and able to adapt to the participants' needs.

You also need to provide good service and communicate effectively with the organizations we collaborate with, both internally and externally.

Your skills and experience

• Experience working as a carpenter, preferably with several years of practical professional experience in performing constructions.
• Good ability to instruct, guide, and support people in practical work.
• Comfortable working closely with participants throughout the workday and creating a structured, inclusive, and motivating work environment.
• Ability to adapt instructions to the individual's level and needs.
• Driver's license (B).
• Good collaboration skills and willingness to contribute to a positive and developing team climate.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in terms of speaking and writing.
• Basic computer skills such as being able to use computers and IT systems for administration and email.

Meritorious

• Experience working with people who are far from the labor market or in similar operations.
• Practical experience in painting work.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, security, and material handling in carpentry or painting.
• Experience in pedagogical work, coaching, or group guidance.
